I would like to point out, though, that it takes MUCH longer to produce
a profitable plastic crop from scratch. In a federally-funded pilot
project started in the early twenties, ten acres were planted with
plastic seeds. As of the most recent annual report (September, 1997),
none of them have even sprouted, yet!
