The Legere reed arrived on my doorstep about a month ago. I still prefer
cane reeds, but it has to be a REALLY good cane reed. These synthetic
reeds play quite well (there must have been some reason why they sold out
so quickly at the ClarinetFest). Perhaps more useful to clarinetists are
the bass clarinet reeds - VERY good, perhaps as good as cane.

Long term? I haven't notice any degredation of my reeds, and I play on
them nearly every day while I am waiting for the cane reeds to soak. They
are particularly nice directly following a class or ensemble when I have
to teach a lesson.

Highly recommended - if you can find them.
