I suspect the *facing* rather than the *brand* of the mouthpiece is the key
to a "jazz sound" and added volume. Running a close second would be the
kind of reed.
Try something like a Bay [.80 inches] and a Rico Plasticover reed. This
kind of combination should produce everything you need for jazz bass
clarinet.
