Francios Kloc, our resident Buffet specialist and clarinet craftsman
sternly admonishes against this practice, Graeme - according to him,
Buffet clarinets need absolutely NO oiling whatsoever - especially not
early on, and the only precautions necessary are to swab every 15 minutes
of playing. Why would you ignore the instructions of the guy making the
clarinet, who's been making clarinet all his life, who comes from a family
of instrument makers?
