Francois Kloc includes a card with all neew R-13's that describes their
recommended break in procedure:

Preventing Cracks:

Do not play the instrument continuously for more than 30 minutes at a time
for the first month. Avoid rapid changes of temperature or humidity. Do
not leave the clarinet out doors in extreme heat or cold. Do not leave
the clarinet by household sources of heat or cold. Use cork grease
regularly. When finished playing, always thoroughly swab the instrument
bore dry. If cracks should appear, have them repaired immediately. The
should not affect the tuning or tonal quality of your clarinet.

Use of the Swab:

Swab your clarinet every 15-20 minutes during play. Collected water can
destroy pads and bubble in the tone holes, adversely affecting
performance. Replace swabs when they become soiled. Never place a wet
swab in a closed case where it can cause the springs to rust and discolor
the keys.

Hope his information helps!
