Wasn't Julian's question about throat e not a Bb???? I think that perhaps you
should check the pad height of the next tone hole, second finger (left hand)
or check that the hole is clean and without obstructions. Welcome to the list

So now I see it was an E, not a Bb (DOH)! Check the screw that is in your
throat A key (above the index finger). Sometimes the screw moves and
presses on the G# key - opening it. The solution is to back out the screw a
little. Do a suction test on the upper joint to see if there is a leak.
