Hi Klarinet Members,
From time to time I read where people are buying/selling items to from/to
other list members. I recently replied to a post about an Albert System C
clarinet. It seemed like I had the right instrument at a fair price and
justifiably the potential buyer wanted to check it out. I of course am
reluctant to send an instrument to some far away place and someone I don't
know. My suggestion was that I would send it COD and give them 2 weeks to
chaeck it out and make a decision. If the decision was to return it then they
could send it back paying the postage and I would return the money. They of
course are reluctant to send their money to a faraway place and someone they
don't know. (I am assuming this as all emails suddenly ceased.) How have
others worked around this mutual mistrust dillema that is unfortunately
necessary in today's world? Any suggestions?
