well there is an alternative. take the thickest srping you have and
trim it vey short about 3/4 of an inch. Thenyoull need to use a device
of some sort to hold the body of the clarinet still. . Insert a spring
pull it in as far as possible with a pair of pliers. then take the
spring you cut to drive in the spring. use a small jewlers hammer and a
pair of needle nose plies to hold the cut spring. BUt tap gently and
slowly so you dont damage the clarinet
