Are Selmer clarinets better than the run-of-the-mill metal clarinets? I ask
because my old violin teacher found a metal clarinet she bought back in the
50s. It is a Selmer, and I've never seen one before. I don't know if she
bought it new or not. I assume it's older judging by the amount of tarnish,
and because of that, I think it's silver-plated. Could you give me any extra
advice on this horn, and value? My violin techer was planning on giving it to
me at a later date, and I thought I could use it for marching band (unless
it's worth a lot, in which case, it will stay protected). Thanks!
Chris Hoffman
