Since, at least for me, Vandoren mouthpieces tend to play slightly flat, I
would find the short barrel to be not only NOT a problem, but a distinct
advantage! The shorter barrel may be because of the stupid (IMHO) trend
toward rising pitch standard in European orchestras.
