This is my first posting to this group and I am not a clarinet player.
Please forgive any inadvertent insults to the noble instrument and the
players thereof.

I have a "Boston Wonder" Clarinet which belonged to my father-in-law.
He bought it new sometime before 1928. I know this because I have a
photo of him in a band in 1928, holding the instrument. The clarinet is
in great condition and plays beautifully. "Without leaks" was the
comment made today by the person I asked to test it. I also have the
original wooden case, music holder, and some old reeds. The clarinet is
metal -- nickel or silver plate, I assume. It is marked "Boston
Wonder", Patend Pending", with no serial number or place of manufacture.

The question is, what is it worth? Is there anything I should do other
than carefully store it, to preserve the instrument. Since it is a
personal instrument from our family, I assume someone in the family will
want to keep it.

Thanks for your advice. I would receive replies to my personal email
k4to@-----.

Thank you all for reading.

Dave S.
