Barb,

A friend of mine bought one recently, in a pawn-brokers for a bargain price
and it looked almost new. It had a number of easy-to-repair problems except
that the throat G# key had been made with the cup at the wrong angle to the
tone hole. A normally-fitted pad had a real problem sealing correctly and
still is giving him difficulty.

Advice - before buying, check ALL the keys and pads, looking for
manufacturing defects.
