This semester I am playing the Basset horn. One of the pieces that I am
playing is the Mendelssohn Concertpiece for Bb Clarinet and Basset horn #2.
I am having a little difficulty with the second movement. It is not a
problem of technique but rather that of breathing. I can't help but take
breaths in the inappropriate spots. Does anyone have any recommendations on
what I should do? I was thinking maybe speeding up the tempo but I do not
want to kill accuracy for speed, since this part is very technical and I
have to play a lot of low C's.
