P: Are there still plateau clarinets around? This is/was a clarinet
with the holes covered like on a flute. I started a couple of kids with
very small fingers on these (school district had a few) then switched
them to regular Bb when their fingers could completely cover the holes.
This is not necessarily a recommendation, just a reminiscence.
