well.....i found that memorizing the music by set to set worked
best.......so if set one to set two is 16 counts........practice the first
four bars over and over....then add mvmnt from set 2 to set 3.......repeat
sets 2-3 several times.....then go back and do sets 1-2-3...........

by doing the music in the sections of drill your mind perceives each
section separately and doesnt get "overwhelmed" by nervous about mixing up
the pieces...once one part is done the mind can push it aside and fully
concentrate on the next...

its like a 5000 jigsaw puzzle............when you dump all 5000 pieces out
on the table it can seem like youll never get it put together....but as you
go through and pick out the edges, the sky, grass, whatever......it becomes
more manageable........

sometimes you can use the rests b4 a part by supplying some kind of visual
(mental or physical) that relates to the upcoming part.......that will clue
you to what to play....
