I've heard some really good things about Bill Street (?) from Maine.
I was told he was especially great for Bass Clarinet work, and can make
handcrafted bells and extensions.
Does anyone have any first-hand experience with his work?
How would it rate in comparison to Brannen's?

Thanks,
Line

p.s. I also agree on Brannen's work lasting for a very long time. Although
it's only been 1 year since he worked on my Bb and A clarinets, they are
still just as solid as Day 1 with no signs of ever loosening up. However,
my teacher had his clarinets worked on 8-10 years ago (i think that's what
he told me) and he says they're just as solid too. --however, he has a
very good case to put his clarinets in: he uses Samsonite luggage filled
with that very sturdy 'expensive camera equipment' foam. When you put the
clarinet pieces in, you hear a "swoosh" sound as the fit is so tight.
Also, he cut out the pieces of foam so that there is absolutely no foam
that touches any of the keys!!!
I think I may be doing something similar, when I get a bit of time....
