Gareth Bowen inquires:
Does anyone know of the Greenline model of Buffet?

Bwahahahahaaa...

Think of the Greenline like this:

It's an R-13
It's priced like an R-13
It plays like an R-13
(Well, that's because it IS an R-13)

HOWEVER --

A three year warrantee against ANY cracks, and the instrument will stay
absolutely CONSTANT! There's this recurring thread about break-in periods
for wood clarinets? I ignore it. I played the living snot out of my
Greenie when I received it. Not long after, our Sym. Winds group travels
from the bone dry desert of NM where we reside to tour in the sweltering
humidity of San Antonio. All of us play R-13s, two of us (one being me)
play R-13 Greenies. We were the only two that did not encounter sudden
tuning problems due to the humidity change.

The Greenline is a FANTASTIC instrument. The material is basically
particle board made from grenadilla. All the standard workmanship and
craftsmanship the other models get, so gets the Greenie. It has the
characteristic R-13 bore. It sounds no different, and on occasion, better
(Prof. Garrett can attest) than a standard R-13.

I swear by mine, if only by the fact that it is just as good as a
standard, but with the added security of a constant instrument.

Robert Spring, professor of clarinet and Da Man Wit' Da Dragon's Tongue
plays them, endorses them, and tells all his students to buy them.

Josh Coleman has played mine, and another which has recently arrived on
campus. He can attest to the quality.

And I shall simply finish with that two word phrase I was constantly using
ofer the summer:

BUY GREENLINES!!! ^_^
