There's no "radio wall" between the US & Canada - I receive CBC here in
Detroit from Windsor just fine, as I used to receive CBC years back when
I lived in Buffalo, NY. It's a function of how close you are to the
border and how much of the signal is beamed in your direction. I would
imagine it would be very hard to pick up CBC in the Bay area - I don't
remember getting Portland or Seattle stations when I lived in Vallejo,
and they're a lot closer.
