A good horn will make all the difference in the world. Many of the
struggles that you face now will go away and you can concentrate
on making music. As a teacher once told me about a clarinet that
I was using, "that thing will make you paronoid". There is no telling what
kind of bad habits you may have developed to compensate for the instrument
you are using. Change now, while you are young, you will not regret it.
The fact that you have stuck it out with the instrument that you are using, and
have progressed with it, is a good testimony to your desire to play well. Keep up the
good work.
