Hi everyone:
Since it's been really hot and humid in NY, I've taken to practicing upstairs
in my house, where we have central air. The temperature there is about 15-20°
F cooler than downstairs and it's much, much drier. But then after I'm done
practicing, and whenever I'm not practicing, I store my clarinets downstairs,
in the hot and humid conditions. Will this daily switch in temperature and
humidity screw up my clarinets ? I really don't need to deal with a clarinet
cracking right now, I have New York Youth Symphony auditions in a week.
Thanks in advance.
