In regards to all the wonderful lip stories - please add: BAG BALM to your
shopping list. It is a lanolin and petrolatum base ointment with antiseptic
properties. On the side of the square 1 ounce container - all you'll need
this winter - the following directions: For chapped teats, superficial
scratches, windburn and sunburn. After each milking, apply the Bag Balm
thoroughly and allow a coating to remain on the surface. Massage thoroughly
and allow ointment to remain for full antiseptic and softening effect on
udder.
Just use on your lips instead of your teats if that's where the problem is.
In all seriousness, this Bag Balm was given to me by a doctor who got it from
a vet. He uses it all the time; highly recommended for human lips. And it
looks good and fits nicely in a clarinet case, too.
