Have your student (and all of your students, I suppose) buy the Bonade
Clarinet Compendium from Leblanc. There are excellent descriptions of most
basic techniques (including an excellent one on tonguing) in the book.
Secondarily, get her a tape of some excellent clarinet playing with good
articulation. Something with a slow tempo and very short articulation so she
can hear what's actually going on without being distracted by speed. Leister,
Marcellus and Wright would be a good place to start.
