Thanks for the info. As I said, I haven't tried the very latest bass clarinet,
and it will be most interesting to do so. I am going on tour with the Orpheus
Chamber Orchestra later in the fall (not playing bass), so hopefully you will
make it here before then.

The improvements to the Buffet Prestige bass that were present in the model I
tried were substantial, and hopefully Selmer will follow with better quality
control over the mechanism of their bass clarinets. Also, I must congratulate
you on the bassett horn, it is simply the best I have played of the big-bore
variety. I wish I could afford one.
