P: I have a Buffet Academy Model, S/N 75960 ("student horn", perhaps).
Not a crack anywhere. Purchased new in 1966, I played it through college
and 4 years of teaching instrumental music, my daughter played it from
4th grade thru 12th and I've been using it intermittently for the past 6
years. Many potentials for abuse in that history.
Btw, what is the difference between my horn and other Buffets we've
discussed?

HI,

The Academy model from Buffet is an R13 that came with a little default on the
stamp or scrach on the key work or something minor that doesn't affect the
intsrument but was to expensive at this time to fixe. Then the came with the
Academy model less expensive than the "regular" R13.The idem number was R113.
They are often great instrument. Today we could change a key or replating the
key at bless cost than before.

Hope this help
