I really enjoyed playing my previous Concerto. And I thought they were the
same as Opuses. But now I have an Opus, and they are the same in many
aspects, as far as evenness of scale, etc. But the Opus has a slight
difference in general resistance, based on the different style barrel bore
(I'm assuming). Plus my Opus has a deeper, darker sound to my liking.
Probably these two models are a lot alike, with the few small differences. My
teacher also gave me the idea that perhaps with the stained wood of the
Concerto, you have a harder time seeing the wood's consistencies, and with the
Opus's unstained wood, you can check to make sure everything is all right in
terms of quality. Perhaps my Concerto just wasn't as consistent in wood
quality as my Opus. But I still would like to know how silver would change
the sound quality. Other comments?
