I disagree. The bore of the barrels, for one, is a major difference. The
wood is also closer grained, so if you believe that material DOES matter in
sound production, this makes a big difference.
And why would silver keys change sound anyways?!?!?!? Obviously the person
you talked to at Leblanc had no idea what they were talking about.

I stand by my statement. I won't give his name, but he is a top player
(finalist Phila. Orch Principal Clarinet audition), mouthpiece refacer, and
teacher (if I said where, it would give his ID away). (so yes, he knows
EXACTLY what he is talking about - believe me.)
