Since I doubt that you can attribute this to good fortune in reed buying,
we must assume that you are simply less critical about reeds than some,
able to work around any minor deviations. In this case, consider yourself
very lucky. And if it has been working for you for "thirty-some years," I
wouldn't try to fix it now!
