I just recently decided to purchase a Jewel mouthpiece. I have found it
to be a very fine mouthpiece which allows me to play with much more
boldness than with the B45 that I had. I have noticed these marks, but I choose
to ignore them because it plays so well. I had mentioned before that I had trouble
with any notes above high G on the Jewel. I fixed this problem by taking more mouthpiece and
going to a 3.5 Vandoren reed. I had been using Vandoren V12's which I will go to when I run
out of the regular Vandoren 3.5's.
