First, Roger..

I think that SOMETIMES resistance can translate into higher pitch. I
may be getting out on a limb here and maybe Jonathan Kohler can help. It
seems that with resistance the reed is forced into a higher velocity and
perhaps this is why pitch can be higher with resistance.

Thanks for the information about the printed materials on Buffet
clarinets. In my years as a Buffet dealer I never saw any material that had
that type of information. Perhaos this pamphlet is only published in
Europe. I still maintain that Buffet clarinets are probably closer to A=441
than A@-----.
