... And, as has been said a few times and needs to be re-iterated,
especially when sending in tapes:

Calling or e-mailing the audition coordinator, director of music, or
audition member(s) is always the best choice when in doubt! If the
person you speak to tells you that it's fine to "just do a <whatever>",
a note along with your tape stating that "After conversations with Prof.
Whoever on 02/30/1999, the following <scales, etudes, whatever your
question was> are being included to satisfy the audition requirements
for the BigName School of Music."

People forget, audition members change, strange things can happen ...
(Not that _I've_ ever been burned on acceptance criteria in a contract
because the initial person doing the acceptance got promoted,
transferred, or fired :^( )
