Which fingerings are you using? It's easier (on a B flat, anyway) to use
the first 2 fingers of the RH than to try to coordinate a third finger on
a bare hole with a little finger on a key. For some reason, the
cross-fingered G# seems a much worse note on the A, I believe that
improvement all round of this fingering is one of the features of the
Schmidt Reform-Boehm instruments.
