I don't know about the origins of these trios, but I own them and I've
played them. The cover reads (in part) "Drei Trios...". One of the wags
in my chamber music band called them "Dry Trios..." and he wasn't far
wrong. Not inspired stuff (IMNSHO). Haydn wrote glorious clarinet parts
in "The Creation" (one of my favorite pieces, BTW). That's the real Haydn.
