Subject: Replacement Register Tubes
Recently I received an ad from A M C that
included a number of products including replacement register tubes for Bb
and A clarinets (I am assuming they are intended for R-13s although it
doesn't say that anywhere).
The ad says " . . it improves pitch and stuffy, resistant timbre of throat
B Flat and Full B natural."
Has anyone tried these? Is there a downside, something that gets worse,
when the change is made?
Gary

Abe Galper developed a Register Tude- Key replacement that is quite good. Ask
him about his. It evens up the upper octave also. Self installable!
