"As I prepare myself to go back to Boise and see my future teacher, I get
more and more scared. He has heard me play the clarinet many times, but
never the sax. As he will be my teacher in both areas, I will soon have
to play my sax for him as well. I have had no formal education on the
sax, and I was wondering how much of what I learned from my clarinet
teachers can be carried over? I am very nervous about the next meeting,
and any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

Relax! The two instruments, as you've discovered, are very different. Keep
in mind, he is there to teach you the joys of dealing with both of them and is
not there to intimidate.
