My GE lowers the pitch for me - the GE* is definitely sharper. I haven't
played his other mpcs, so I can't say anything about the G1, G*1, or the
G2. Of course, he doesn't make GE's anymore...rassafrassum...

The GE may not be typically flat - Josh likes the GE as well, but I don't
know his experiences. I know that I was able to get a darker tone with
the GE than he was, and slightly better tuning in the left hand clarion,
but that could be our different sticks or my longer time under Dr.
Borchert. But it does lower MY pitch by 5-7 cents.

LeBlancs, from what I've been told, bear one major difference from the
Buffets (at least when comparing R-13s and Opi/Concerti), and that is bore
design. While retaining the tight bore that made the R13 revolutionary in
it's introduction (50's 60's or something...), I think the taper and what
not are not what you see on R13s or other pro level honkers. That, and I
think the register key is moved as well. I think. That's what I've been
told by some Opi players here in NM...
