there seems to be quite a stir about whether not liking classical creates
uneducated people.......

I dont think its a question of noneducation.....its a matter of
appreciation...........one can be exposed to and not prefer
classical....but appreciate its value........and then there are those who
have never taken the time to learn about the classical genre..........i
think this is the group of people to which the term "uneducated" was meant
to include...........it doesnt mean theyre dumb ........just
unenlightened......

even though those of us on the list may like whatever music......there is
still a large portion of the population that has not taken the time to
learn to appreciate classical, jazz,......i find it unfortuneate becuz
while there are some very good "popular" pieces.....but within the last
year....nothing really outstanding has come to the surface.........a lot of
remakes.........

it should be our responsibility to pormote new learning and
understanding.......even if it means trying again and listening to music or
different types which we think we dont care for......
