i know you all are probably thinking "who is this",,, but i just wanted to
put my 2 cents in for what is worth ......

kids today like popular becuz they can easily relate to it.............when
you ask some young kids today about classical music they automatically say
they dont like it becuz they think of beethoven symphony or mozart
sonatas.........to kids theyre long and dont "say" a whole lot.........but
its only becuz they havent ever REALLY listened....they just hear a lot of
notes .........

Most parents dont expose them to classical perfomances becuz they dont
understand........if you teach kids to LISTEN and not just hear whats being
played there will be a greater understanding......

popular music today is brief and to the point.......thats why country and
rap have taken off............classical or even jazz are pieces where one
actually has to form an opinion about......everyones thoughts about a piece
are different and affects each of us diferently.........taking that chance
to "expose" ones self is something that seems to be very risky..........so
we allow ourselves to fall in to the popular pit of like thinking and
understanding.....

Back when Beethoven mozart .......and others.......first started they were
shunned becuz their music wasnt the norm it wasnt what was in..........only
after most were dead did people begin to take them more
seriously.............we must teach young people today to dare to
dream.......be different..........find out what music makes them
feel.......not what some singer can remake and "tell how life is".........

okay ill get off the podium........hope it makes some kind of sense..
