Does anyone know what tempos these pieces are usually played at? I mean, I
can
see that they have Allegro and Lento, but the composers may have had
different
tempos in mind than what I consider to be allegro. Just for practicing
purposes, I've been playing the mozart at dotted quarter = 72, the Saint-
Saens
at half note @-----. Am I anywhere near the
right tempos? thanx for any suggestions!

That's seems right around the ballpark to me. And if it feels comfortable for
you to play it in these tempos, then it is the right tempo for YOU. Otherwise
adjust your speed to what feels best for you.
These are great pieces. A lot of fun to play. Good luck, Karen!
