I sent the following message about a week ago and got no response. I'm
trying again with a slightly different heading!

I've recently been asked for an opinion on a Boosey and Hawkes clarinet
(Series 2-20, serial 239943). This is a wooden instrument with metal
ferrules on the joint tenons. I did not have a chance to play the
instrument so could not check intonation etc.

My assumption is that it is an intermediate clarinet, i. e., not the bottom
of the line and not professional.

I would appreciate any information about the probable quality of this
clarinet (if in good repair) and its approximate age.
