The stand is indeed wonderful, but it was not made by Mr. Blayman. It is
a custom-designed stand by a doubler named Don Wilkinson. Don is the
person who designed and makes the contra-bassoon stands for Fox and the
bass clarinet stand is based on that design. I told him that that there
would be a market for the stand if he ever wanted to sell them
commercially. His response was that right now, he had more work than he
wanted just making contra-bassoon stands.
