I have a set of Moennig horns that he prepared in 1958. They had tape in a
couple of the tone holes when they were new.

They were overhauled by Hans in 1970, and the tape was removed from one hole
and slightly modified in the other. The tape is still in place and holding
fast. It is not the kind of electircal or art tape that I've seen in other
horns over the years. I'm frankly not sure what it is. I'd like to think that
it's one of the secrets that was lost when Mr. Moennig died.

Regards,
George Landis
