two people who like classical music in my school. Those in band play it from
time to time, but don't enjoy it. (Which is why we stick to popular band
transcriptions. Some Broadway music is played, and while that can be
classified as classical, no one, and I do mean no one, appreciates the old
masterpieces.)
But, this Thursday, we are moving to Cedar Rapids, which is a huge cultural
area in Iowa. I'll be a junior in a very respected high school with an
excellent fine arts program. I also plan on auditioning for the orchestra.
(Perhaps you might have heard of the Cedar Rapids Symphony. It was in "Time"
magazine, I believe.)
