I found the lecture on the Mozart Trio at ClarinetFest
interesting....primarily because of the instrument used as a demo....it
was either an original (I doubt) or a reproduction of a basset clarinet
with a low C. The sound wasn't what I am used to hearing a clarinet sound
like......but the guy did a great job of demonstrating on it.....I didn't
hear much difference between the A clarinet he used and the Bb - I wonder
if there were many differences back then?

Any other thoughts out there? Who else heard the lecture/recital - and
was there much of a difference in sound to your ears? (I was in the very
back of the auditorium sitting on the bricks!).
