I just got mt "new" recording of the original cast album in the mail last
week and never thought to look to see if there were "extras" (my old vinyl
disk is warped and scratched)! Sure enough, the Wedding Dance and The Rumor
are on it! "Fiddler" was the first (of two!) shows I ever saw on Broadway
(I was eight), so I guess I did hear Gene play without realizing it! (Paul
Whiteman was starring at the time - does this date it for you?!) Can't wait
to listen to it again!
