To Karen D., who asked for suggestions on audition pieces, I wonder
whether you might not be able to get "suggestions" from the literature
about the department for which you are auditioning. (I know that the
catalog for the Eastman School of Music provides "guidance" as to the
level of proficiency expected of its entering students.)

In the absence of any departmental guidance, I would like to second those
who recommended Schumann's Fantasy Pieces to you. They were originally
written for the A clarinet, are relatively easy from the technical point
of view, and offer you an opportunity to show off your musicality. (My
personal opinion is that any budding clarinettist who gets an A clarinet
for the first time should immediately start learning these pieces!)

Best wishes to you, and be healthy!
David Yee
