You can also try large/urban flea markets (New Orleans or Washington DC
areas to name a couple) where small "antique" dealers bring some of
their wares to booths at the market, even antique stores or Salvation
Army stores. I've seen 78 rpm turntables in working order for as little
as $20. Not hard to find if you look around a little. Happy Hunting!
