I looked for a long time, and bought several unrepairable changers. Now I
have a Dual and a Garrard,both state-of-the-art once upon a time. I finally
lucked into a big old Magnavox console with a four-speed changer, stereo,
AM-FM radio and a standard cassette deck that I suspect replaced an
original eight-track tape deck.

It needed needles, and I found a newsgroup called rec.antiques.radio+phono
where the natives were very friendly, and I wound up with three needles and
the address of the company that made the original ones and is still in
business. A Wanted to Buy note on that newsgroup might very well get results.
