Brahms wrote four works for clarinet, all inspired by the clarinetist Richard
Muehlfeld. They are 1) Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano, Op. 114, Quintet
for Clarinet and String Quartet, Op;. 115, and the Sonatas for Clarinet and
Piano, Op. 120 (No 1. in F minor and No. 2 in Eb).
