IMHO - after hearing Ricardo, Larry, and Eddie side by side playing some
jazz licks:

Larry & Eddie play jazz.
Ricardo doesn't yet.

If any of you have seen the TV program where Wynton Marsalis & Yo-Yo Ma play
together and Yo-Yo Ma tries to play a bit of jazz with Wynton, it compares
with Ricardo playing jazz. All the notes are there - but the timing &
expression required in the jazz genre need a little more work.

Not that I wouldn't give my little toe to play as good as Ricardo does ...
