I'm going to go along Craig's idea to describe the movement...what the moods
represent to us.
Well, to me, the first section is pastoral. A child playing with his/her
parents on sunny lawns, picking flowers, playing with the cat, etc. And the
child is safe.
But the second section is when the child ventures out on his/her own and gets
lost and becomes frightened. S/he struggles and tries to think of how to get
back home, and make mistakes. Finally, s/he knows the way home, but it is a
hurdle. (Could be going across a log over a creek that s/he crossed over the
first time. But s/he wasn't paying attention that time, but now s/he sees it
is the way home.) S/he crosses that hurdle, and success! S/he is with
his/her parents yet again, and all is good. S/he knows better than to venture
off on his own anymore.
OK, this was probably, a very romanticized version, but I didn't know who the
person who posted this question exactly wanted. I was in the same position as
Craig. I didn't know what type of answer this person wanted, so I hesitated
to answer.
